Two new members appointed to RHI's Board of Directors

1 September 2015 – The Rick Hansen Institute is pleased to announce it has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors, Jerome So and Dustin Paul.

So JeromeJerome So, CIM, has worked in the investment industry for 19 years. Currently, he is an investment advisor and certified retirement specialist for TD Waterhouse. Prior to that, Jerome was a Regional Vice President at a global asset management firm. Jerome's colleagues and clients describe him as an individual who has a unique ability to connect, relate and resonate with people. He believes that achieving clarity in communication and planning will lead to "comfort and commitment".

Jerome has been married to his wife for over 20 years and has two children. In his spare time, he can be found at the hockey rink or training with his Labrador Retriever to compete at national field trial competitions.


Paul DustinDustin Paul, J.D., is an associate lawyer with Aikenhead, Moscovich & Jones, a full-service law firm based in Vancouver, BC. His practice focuses on a variety of litigated claims including personal injury, estate litigation and contractual disputes in addition to wills and estates.

At the age of 19, Dustin was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. After his accident, Dustin went on to pursue studies at Langara College and Simon Fraser University before obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia. Dustin has received numerous awards for his academic achievements, community volunteerism and ability to overcome the unique obstacles he has faced. In his spare time, Dustin is an active contributor to his community and can regularly be found at the local coffee shop or walking his Manchester Terrier around False Creek.

RHI also wishes to thank Tung Chan, Colleen Nelson, Sam Sullivan and Eric Watt for their service on RHI's Board of Directors. Each individual brought a unique perspective and invaluable strategic input to RHI and their contributions will be missed. All four retired from the Board of Directors in June 2015.
